Najah Ali, Director of Sewing & Training

Najah is from Nineveh, Iraq. She is married and has three children (two daughters and one son). She is one of 16 children, she has 12 brothers and 3 sisters. Najah was a teacher back in Iraq. Due to war, her family left Iraq and fled to Jordan because violence threatened her family if they were to stay in Iraq. She and her family lived in Jordan before coming to the United States. She has been in the U.S. for over 10 years. She loves the color purple and anything cheetah print. She enjoys cooking for her family. She has a compassionate heart for refugee women who have had to flee with their family. This drives her passion to teach a job skill of sewing to our Artisans.
